Bolognese Sauce

With Mazola® Canola Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 3 tbsp Mazola Canola Oil
  • 500g ground beef
  • 4 Italian sausages
  • 1 jar tomato sauce
  • ½ cup cream

Instructions:

  1. Chop onion, carrots and celery into small even cubes, slice garlic
  2. Sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic with Mazola Canola Oil.
  3. Set aside
  4. In same pot, place in sausages, turning once or twice, remove and set aside once cooked.
  5. In the meantime, roll ground beef into 2” balls
  6. Take out sausages and slice when cool to touch.
  7. Place in meatballs, turning once or twice. Remove when cooked.
  8. In same pot, cook ground beef. Add back in sliced sausages, meat balls and sautéed vegetables.
  9. Add in tomato sauce. Reduce heat and let simmer, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste.
  10. Add cream and stir.
  11. Add to your favourite pasta.
