Deep Fried Pasta Chips

With Mazola® Corn Oil

  • 1 package of bowtie pasta (450g)
  • 4 cups of Mazola Corn Oil
  • ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp of dried oregano
  • ½ tsp of dried basil
  • ½ tsp of dried parsley
  • 2 tsp of garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp of sea salt
  • ¼ tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of chilli flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup of your favourite marinara sauce for dipping


  1. Add pasta to a large pot of salted boiling water.
  2. Cook until just al dente, approx. 7 minutes.
  3. Line a large baking sheet with a dishcloth and set aside.
  4. Drain pasta and spread out onto the lined baking sheet. Cover with another dishcloth and gently press to absorb all the moisture. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  5. In a deep fryer or large deep skillet, heat corn oil over medium heat. The oil is ready when you insert a wooden skewer and it bubbles around it.
  6. Fry pasta one cup at a time until golden brown, approx. 1-2 minutes.
  7. While still warm, toss with parmesan cheese, herbs, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  8. Serve with your favourite marinara sauce.
